All of the members of the States were men until 1948 when Ivy Forster became the first woman to be elected to the Assembly.

- 45% of States Members are female
- 50% of Deputies are female (14 out of 28)
- 44% of Senators are female (4 out of 9)
- 33% of Connétables are female (4 out of 12)
- A woman topped the whole poll in 2026
