Young French speakers needed to represent Jersey in Africa this July

A rare opportunity to represent Jersey in Africa is available for young French speakers. The Parlement Francophone des Jeunes (the PFJ) is being held on 6-11 July in Yaoundé, Cameroon, Central Africa. The States Assembly is looking for two participants.To apply for this opportunity, applicants must:
- Not have participated in the PFJ before
- Be aged 18-25
- Be able to speak and write in French to a high level of accuracy
- Be in full-time education or undertaking an apprenticeship
Applicants should email Molly Gladwin – [email protected] – no later than Wednesday 11 March and provide the following:
- A 1-minute video, in French, introducing yourself and your thoughts on the relationship with the French language and its role in the world; and
- No more than 500 words, in French, outlining your suitability to attend the conference.
Shortlisted candidates will then be invited to interview the week commencing Monday 16 March 2026.
