COMMENTS

The Finance and Economics Committee recognises the need for the development of a new Cultural Strategy and awaits with interest the detailed plans. However, the Committee is cautious to raise expectations that additional funding will be available for the development of a cultural strategy for the Island, as proposed in the Report and Proposition, given States current financial circumstances. Any request for additional funds will need to be prioritised alongside other States initiatives as part of any future Resource Allocation Process.
