COMMENTS

It is a matter for the States to decide whether they wish to support this proposition. If they do so, the cost of a referendum will need to be met from the States Assembly's head of expenditure. If all parts of the proposition are approved, and the referendum confirms the proposed changes, then an annual saving of approximately £160,000 would be achieved from 2011.
