COMMENTS

The Privileges and Procedures Committee (PPC) welcomes Deputy T.M. Pitman's general support of its proposals to move to a spring election and a 4 year term of office for States members.

PPC does not wish to comment on the further reduction in the number of Senators proposed by Deputy Pitman, as this is primarily a political decision and a matter for individual members.
