COMMENTS
The Council of Ministers accept the tenth amendment to the 2025 Government Plan as proposed. The policy resource required to progress an amended law had previously been secured and Ministers have subsequently prioritised law drafting as part of the 2025 GoJ legislation programme.
It is anticipated that a draft amended law will be lodged in December 2025 for debate in January 2026.
