The Committee considered a report from the States of Jersey Complaints Panel Jersey in connexion with a complaint against the Minister for the Environment in relation Complaints to a complaint regarding the Infrastructure and Environment Department's handling Board: of retrospective planning applications in respect of Northern Leaf (a Licensed Ms. X versus cultivator and processor of pharmaceutical grade cannabis), Field 770, Retreat Farm, the Minister La Rue des Varvots, St. Lawrence , and of the Department's consideration of the for the statutory nuisance complaints in relation to Northern Leaf's activities on that site. and the The Committee noted that the complaint centred around the Department's handling Infrastructure and lack of regulation in respect of a number of retrospective planning applications and made by Northern Leaf, together with Enforcement and Noise Abatement Notices Environment which had been issued to the company. It was noted that the Complaints Panel had Department. upheld the complaint.
The Committee approved the report and requested that the necessary arrangements be made for it to be presented to the States with a brief covering report.
