States  A1.  The Committee, with reference to its Minute No. A5 of 15th July 2025, Assembly  considered revised meeting dates for 2026 for the States Assembly, together with meeting dates  dates for States meetings during the first half of 2027 (which took account of 2026/2027:  published school holiday dates).

revised.

The Committee recalled that it had been concerned that there was no gap between the final 2 meetings before the pre-election period in March 2026. Consequently, it had agreed to alter the meeting schedule so that the final meeting (to include a question period) would be held on 24th March, with the 30th March 2026 meeting dates being retained as continuation days, if required. It was hoped that this would facilitate the completion of as much outstanding public business as possible. The Committee had also agreed to provide dates for the first half of 2027, in order to assist Members with forward planning.

Having considered the revised meeting schedule, the Committee approved the same and requested that the Greffier of the States make the necessary arrangements for these to be presented to the States.
