THE STATES, having been informed that the relevant scrutiny panel had indicated that it did not wish to scrutinise the draft legislation, commenced consideration of Regulations 1 to 61 and, adopting an amendment of the Comité des Connétable s (P.83/2025 Amd.), agreed that in Regulation 48, in paragraph (2), for "applying for, or obtaining, a promotion" there should be substituted "seeking re-election (to the same office) or election (to another office) as a member of the Honorary Police"; and, in Regulation 55, in paragraph (3), for "Attorney General" there should be substituted "relevant Chef de Police".

THE STATES commenced consideration of a proposition of Deputy Raluca Stefana Kovacs of St. Saviour entitled Breaches of the Code of Conduct: review of Standing Orders' (P.101/2025) and, adopting an amendment of Deputy Mary Rose Scott of St. Brelade (P.101/2025 Amd.), agreed that, after the words "such review to include but not be limited to, consideration of" there should be inserted the words "current procedures for the handling of complaints and disclosure of personal details,".
THE STATES, adopting the proposition of the of Deputy Raluca Stefana Kovacs of St. Saviour , as amended, requested the Privileges and Procedures Committee to review, with a view to amending, all Standing Orders in relation to breaches of the Code of Conduct, such review to include, but not be limited to, consideration of current procedures for the handling of complaints and disclosure of personal details, disqualification mechanisms and varying lengths of suspension (paid and unpaid), and to present a report to the Assembly no later than 31st December 2026 with its findings and recommendations.
