Standing Order 55A – remote participation
THE STATES, with reference to their Act dated 14th September 2021, in which they had agreed that, notwithstanding Standing Order 55A(1), Members who did not wish to attend in the States Chamber might continue to take part in States meetings using Microsoft Teams (until the States had considered and voted upon a proposition to re-apply Standing Order 55A(1) or to repeal or vary the terms of the Standing Order), assembled in accordance with Standing Order 55A with Members able to participate remotely using Microsoft Teams. Arrangement of public business for the present meeting
THE STATES, adopting a proposition of Deputy Hiliary Louise Jeune of St. John , St. Lawrence and Trinity , agreed, in accordance with Standing Order 80, to suspend Standing Order 32 in order that her amendment (P.56/2025 Amd.(3)) to the Draft Elections (Senators) (Jersey) Amendment Law 202- might be listed for consideration at the present meeting and further agreed, in accordance with Standing Order 26(7), to reduce the minimum lodging period in respect of the same amendment in order that it might be debated at the present meeting.
THE STATES, adopting a proposition of Deputy Sir Philip Martin Bailhache of St. Clement , agreed, in accordance with Standing Order 26(7), to reduce the minimum lodging period in respect of his amendment (P.58/2025 Amd.) to the proposition of the Chief Minister entitled Extension of Section 75 (Electronic Travel Authorisations) of the Nationality and Borders Act 2022 to Jersey' (P.58/2025), in order that it might be debated at the present meeting.

THE STATES, commencing consideration of a proposition of the Privileges and Procedures Committee entitled Suspension: Deputy P.F.C. Ozouf of St. Saviour ' (P.64/2025), commenced consideration of a proposition of Deputy Kirsten Francis Morel of St. John , St. Lawrence and Trinity that, in accordance with Standing Order 81, the States conduct the debate upon the proposition of the Privileges and Procedures Committee in camera and acceded to a request by Deputy Morel , in accordance with Standing Order 69(4), that his proposition be withdrawn.

THE STATES resumed consideration of the proposition of the Privileges and Procedures Committee and, adopting the proposition, agreed, in accordance with Standing Order 21A, to suspend Deputy Philip Francis Cyril Ozouf of St. Saviour for 28 days with immediate effect as a sanction for breaches of the States Members' Code of Conduct as detailed in the Report R.127/2025.
