Proposed  A1. The Committee, with reference to its Minute No. A4 of 16th July 2026, amendments to  considered a report and a proposition to amend the Standing Orders of the States of the Standing  Jersey, in conjunction with the Draft Public Finances Law (States Funds) (Jersey) Orders of the  Amendment Regulations 202-.

States of

Jersey  It was recalled that P.24/2026 – Draft Public Finances Law (States Funds) (Jersey) (P.24/2026) –  Amendment Regulations 202-, had been lodged au Greffe' on 4th February 2026 approval for  by the former Minister for Treasury and Resources and sought to rename the lodging.  Government Plan as the Budget and replace references to the Consolidated Fund

with the General Revenue Fund and the Jersey Capital Investment Fund. Subject to enactment of the Law, the Standing Orders would require amendment to reflect the updated terminology. The Committee, as previously constituted, had presented draft comments to the Assembly in connexion with the same. However, Members had decided that it would be more appropriate for the proposition amending Standing Orders to be lodged in the name of the Privileges and Procedures Committee.

The Committee was informed that Senator A.J.H.M. Maclean , Minister for Treasury and Resources, had no objection to the Committee lodging the amendments.

Having considered the report and proposition, the Committee approved the same for presentation to the States.
