Lodging Houses (General Provisions) (Jersey) Amendment Order 2025. Minister for Housing.
This Order amends the Lodging Houses (General Provisions) (Jersey) Order 1962 to increase by 2.5% the fee payable for the registration, or renewal of registration, of a lodging house.
The new fee is £16.25 for each person aged 5 or over who can be lodged at the property. The fee was last increased with effect from 1st December 2024.
This Order comes into force on 1st December 2025.
The Order was made on 20th October 2025 and comes into force on 1st December 2025.
Children and Young People (Independent Advocates) (Jersey) Commencement Order 2025. Minister for Children and Families.
This Order brings the Children and Young People (Independent Advocates) (Jersey) Regulations 2025 (the "Regulations") into force on 29th October 2025.
The Regulations were made by the States Assembly on 5th February 2025. They require the Minister for Children and Families (the "Minister") to appoint independent advocates to provide advocacy services in respect of children with a health or development need, children looked after by the Minister, care leavers and children who are subject to safeguarding arrangements. The Regulations also provide for the functions of independent advocates and amend Article 44 of the Children and Young People (Jersey) Law 2022 to require the Minister to issue a code of practice in relation to independent advocates. The Minister presented the Code of Practice on Independent Advocacy for Children and Young People (R.145/2025) to the States Assembly on 1st October 2025.
The Order was made on 23rd October 2025 and came into force on the same day.
Collective Investment Funds (Recognized Funds) (Rules) (Jersey) Amendment Order 2025. Minister for External Relations.
The Collective Investment Funds (Recognized Funds) (Rules) (Jersey) Amendment Order 2025 changes the reference to the Minister in the Rules contained in the Schedule to the Collective Investment Funds (Recognized Funds) (Rules) (Jersey) Order 2003 (the "2003 Order") from the Chief Minister to the Minister for External Relations. This mirrors the change previously made by the Changes to Ministerial Offices (Jersey) Amendment Order 2024 to the 2003 Order's parent Law, the Collective Investment Funds (Jersey) Law 1988. This Order comes into force 7 days after it is made.
The Order was made on 28th October 2025 and came into force on 4th November 2025.
Sustainable Economic Development (2026 Fees) (Jersey) Amendment Order 2025. Minister for Sustainable Economic Development.
This Order increases some of the fees charged under 3 regimes administered by the Minister for Sustainable Economic Development by approximately 2.5%.
Article 1 amends the Places of Refreshment (Registration) (Fees) (Jersey) Order 2008 to increase the fee for an application for registration, or the renewal of registration, of premises as a place of refreshment under Article 4(1) of the Places of Refreshment (Jersey) Law 1967. That fee was last increased with effect from 1st January 2025.
Article 2 amends the Tourism (General Provisions) (Jersey) Order 1990 to increase the fees for the registration, or the renewal of registration, of premises under Article 10(7) of the Tourism (Jersey) Law 1948. Those fees were last increased with effect from 23rd October 2024.
Article 3 amends the Weights and Measures (Testing Fees) (Jersey) Order 2003 to increase the fees for the testing of weighing or measuring equipment under Article 12 of the Weights and Measures (Jersey) Law 1967. With the exception of the new fee of 31p per measure for capacity measures submitted in quantities of 100 or more, which was last increased with effect from 1st January 2023, those fees were last increased with effect from 1st January 2025.
Article 4 gives the title of the Order and states when the provisions come into force. Articles 2 and 4 come into force 7 days after the Order is made. Articles 1 and 3 come into force on 1st January 2026.
The Order was made on 30th October 2025, Articles 2 and 4 came into force on 6th November 2025 and the remaining Articles come into force on 1st January 2026.
Children and Civil Status (Jersey) Commencement Order 2025. Minister for Children and Families.
The Children and Civil Status (Jersey) Commencement Order 2025 provides that the Children and Civil Status (Amendments) (Jersey) Law 2024 comes into force on 24th November 2025. This Order is made under Article 52 of that Law as amended by Article 5 of the Civil Status (Abolition of Legitimacy Etc.) (Jersey) Law 2025, which came into force on 30th October 2025.
On commencement of that Law, the Children and Civil Status (Consequential Amendments) (Jersey) Amendment Regulations 2025, the Children and Civil Status (Consequential Amendments) (Jersey) Amendment No. 2 Regulations 2025 and the remaining provisions of the Civil Status (Abolition of Legitimacy Etc.) (Jersey) Law 2025 will also come into force in accordance with their respective commencement provisions.
The Order was made on 5th November 2025 and came into force on the same day.
Road Traffic (Speed Limits) (Jersey) Amendment No. 3 Order 2025. Minister for Infrastructure.
This Order amends the Road Traffic (Speed Limits) (Jersey) Order 2003 (the "2003 Order") in relation to the imposition of temporary speed limits when there are works, or an event, taking place on or in the vicinity of a road. The amendment means that traffic signs indicating a temporary speed limit may be placed on that road, and also on any other road onto which traffic is diverted as a result of the works or event.
Article 1 states that this Order amends the 2003 Order.
Article 3 makes the amendment described above, and Article 2 makes a consequential amendment to the heading to Article 4A.
Article 4 gives the name of the Order and states that it comes into force on the day after it is made.
The Order was made on 7th November 2025 and came into force on 8th November 2025.
Long-Term Care (Benefits) (Jersey) Amendment Order 2025. Minister for Social Security.
This Order amends the Long-Term Care (Benefits) (Jersey) Order 2014 (the "2014 Order") to increase by approximately 4.5% –
• the rates of long-term care benefit for weekly standard care costs (specified in Article 8 of the 2014 Order) (Article 2);
• the amounts that a person must pay towards the weekly costs of living in an approved home and for incidental expenses (specified in Article 9 of the 2014 Order) (Article 3);
• the amounts that a person must pay towards their standard care costs before they qualify to receive a long-term care benefit for standard care costs (specified in Article 10 of the 2014 Order) (Article 4);
• the amount that may be loaned to a person to enable them to pay the costs of living in an approved home (specified in Article 12 of the 2014 Order) (Article 5).
These rates and amounts were last increased with effect from 1st January 2025.
The Order was made on 7th November 2025 and comes into force on 1st January 2026.

- provide a summary of all Infrastructure capital schemes initiated, allocated or completed since he took office to include, but not be limited to, the estimated and actual cost of each scheme broken down by category and value;
