Charities (Entities) Law (Jersey) Amendment Order 2025. Minister for External Relations.
This Order amends Article 2 of the Charities (Jersey) Law 2014 to add a new class of "entity", which is a condition for being able to apply to be registered as a charity (but the entity must still meet the "charity test" and other conditions for registration).
The new class of entity is a body corporate that counts as a non-profit organisation (an "NPO") under the Non-Profit Organizations (Jersey) Law 2008, but only if it is established under Jersey law and only if it is not covered by the other existing classes.
This Order comes into force 7 days after it is made.
The Order was made on 9th October 2025 and came into force on 16th October 2025.
Misuse of Drugs (General Provisions) (Jersey) Amendment Order 2025. Minister for Health and Social Services.
This Order amends the Misuse of Drugs (General Provisions) (Jersey) Order 2009 (the "2009 Order") to restrict the prescribing of ketamine for human use, and to require a person who prescribes ketamine, other than for certain purposes, to provide details of the prescription to the Medical Officer of Health (the "Medical Officer").
Article 1 states that this Order amends the 2009 Order.
Article 2 inserts Article 12A, which states that a person who is authorised to issue prescriptions must not prescribe ketamine unless they work for an administration of the States. This prohibition does not apply to a veterinary surgeon prescribing ketamine for animal use.
Article 3 amends Article 30 to require a person who prescribes ketamine for human use to provide details of the prescription to the Medical Officer within 5 working days. But this only applies if the ketamine was not prescribed for a purpose for which it is approved for marketing by the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency of the United Kingdom, or for the control of pain in palliative care arrangements.
Article 4 gives the name of this Order and states that it comes into force 7 days after it is made. The Order was made on 13th October 2025 and came into force on 20th October 2025.

Medicines (Prescription Only and Sale and Supply) (Jersey) Amendment Order 2025. Minister for Health and Social Services.
This Order amends –
- the Medicines (Prescription Only) (Jersey) Order 1997 to enable a person who carries on the business of a school providing full-time education and who is trained to administer auto- injectors to pupils at the school if the pupil concerned is known to be at risk of anaphylaxis and if the administration is for emergency purposes; and
- the Medicines (Sale and Supply) (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Jersey) Order 1997 to exempt from the restriction on supply of those auto-injectors persons carrying on the business of a school providing full-time education.
The Order was made on 13th October 2025 and came into force on 20th October 2025.
