THE STATES are asked to decide whether they are of opinion -

in pursuance of Article 14 of the Parish Rate (Administration) (Jersey) Law 1946, as amended, to appoint Mr. Brian Ahier as a member of the Parish Rate Appeal Board, for the period ending 30th September 2005.

In September, the States agreed to re-appoint eight members of the Parish Rate Appeal Board. It was not possible to find a ninth nomination at that time.

The name of Mr. Brian Ahier has been suggested and the Finance and Economics Committee is pleased to propose him as the ninth member of the Board.
