COMMENTS

This report and proposition would have financial and manpower resource consequences dependent upon the demand and type of information that may be requested.

The Finance and Economics Committee is concerned that the provision of detailed financial information may contravene data protection guidance and hinder the States' operational and commercial efficiency to the detriment of the public purse.

The Committee supports transparent financial governance and the provision of an appropriate level of financial information in order to support States' decision-making. The Committee supports the ongoing review and consultation of the Privileges and Procedures Committee in this regard.
