"Will the Minister advise how many properties have been inspected since the introduction of the Rented Dwelling Licensing Scheme in May 2024, how many landlords have received improvement notices and how many have had penalties imposed upon them?"
Answer
The first annual report for the Public Health and Safety (Rented Dwellings) (Licencing) (Jersey) Regulations 2023 R.110/2025 was published on 8th July 2025.
Page 7 of this report highlights that 293 inspections had been completed since the commencement of the regulations on 1st May 2024.
Pages 8-12 of the report discusses the outcomes of these 293 inspections.
