Dear Minister,

Marine Spatial Plan Consultation

As you will be aware, the Panel is intending to conduct a scrutiny review of the Marine Spatial Plan. We have been made aware that stakeholder feedback from the fishing industry suggests that the consultation period is too short and not ideal over the Christmas and New Year period.

In light of this, we would request that consideration be given to extending the consultation period to give industry and members of the public time to consider the proposals in more detail.

We look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience. Yours sincerely,

Deputy Steve Luce

Chair,

Environment, Housing and Infrastructure Scrutiny Panel
