The Environment Scrutiny Panel is commencing a review into the Environmental Impact Assessment for the Energy from Waste Plant. This will look in detail at the planning and public consultation processes together with Jersey s responsibilities under the Ramsar Convention to see whether any genuine environmental concerns remain unanswered and if the Island has fulfilled its obligations.
The Panel would welcome relevant comment from members of the public and stakeholder groups by Friday 15th May 2009.
