Aircraft Registry
The Economic Affairs Scrutiny Panel is examining the opportunity being explored by the Minister for Economic Development to establish an Aircraft Registry. This could lead to economic benefits to Jersey, such as the development of associated support industries and possibly increased local economic activity by existing or new inward investment. Key questions about the merits of this idea remain to be answered however, and we would like to hear your views:
n What are the potential economic benefits and how achievable
are they?
n Are there underlying reasons for why this idea wouldn't work? n Similar places like the Isle of Man already have an Aircraft
Registry, so what would Jersey's unique selling point be?
n Guernsey are also working towards establishing an Aircraft
Registry. Should we work with them to create a Channel Islands Aircraft Registry?
