As requested, I am submitting details of the Current IT provision at Victoria College: In terms of our current classroom provision within the school, this includes:
- The use of interactive SMART boards and classroom sound systems in every room, providing interactive multimedia learning.
- A number of Digital Document cameras available throughout the site.
- The college has 4 Mobile WIFI computer suites with a vision of bringing IT into the classroom which is run by a robust wireless network which is currently fit for purpose but will need upgrading for future proofing to the next 802.11ac wireless standard, especially with the introduction of BYOD. We have around 350 computers in the school.
- ClickView – A digital video solution, providing innovative video solution to help students and staff access educational content inside and outside the classroom.
