The SABOA committee met yesterday evening to further discuss Incorporation with Frank Walker and Myra Shacklady.
Based on what we have been told we feel reassured. We look forward to the appointment of a Manager for the Historic Harbours which is to happen before Incorporation, when we
shall have a person to liaise with directly as they will visit the harbour weekly. We are also assured that mooring fees will remain at the same level with RPI increases only. We also feel reassured that a significant budget is allocated to the Historic Harbours, with clear Public Service Objectives. We had a clear and full explanation yesterday and have no worries about this proposal becoming a reality. Hopefully the change will come with less red tape attached and enable a faster response time to necessities.
