In Article 34 –
- in paragraph (2), for "(1)(b)" substitute "(1)(c)";
- after paragraph (4) insert –
(5) Before making an Order under this Article the Minister must inform each scrutiny panel established under standing orders to which is assigned scrutiny of matters relating to animal welfare legislation.

Background
After input from Environment, Housing and Infrastructure Scrutiny Panel, it was deemed necessary to adopt further reassurances regarding Article 34 (Orders) of the proposed Law to ensure the appropriate Scrutiny Panel is informed of any proposed orders.
The amendment proposes to insert an additional paragraph under Article 34(5) and a correction of a typo in paragraph a).
In Article 34 –
- in paragraph (2), for "(1)(b)" substitute "(1)(c)";
- after paragraph (4) insert –
