REPORT
Decision(s): Under Standing Order 168(3), the Minister for Infrastructure hereby notifies the States that he has accepted the recommendation of Jersey Property Holdings to agree to the following –
(a) Land transaction –
To agree for the gift, cession and transfer by the owner, Mr Barrette, to the Public of a strip of land to be incorporated into the States of Jersey Main Road designated the B33' known as La Route de St Jean', with the Public's reasonable costs in passing contract to be met by the donor.
The Minister hereby authorises, as applicable, the Attorney General and the Greffier of the States to pass any contract which is required to be passed on behalf of the Public; and the Director of Property Holdings to conclude any contract which is required to be concluded on behalf of the Public.
After the expiry of 15 days following presentation to the States the transaction may be concluded.

In 2021, Mr Barette obtained a planning permit (P/2021/0867) to create a new entrance/ driveway across Field J310 and Field J306 to provide a new access to his property "Home Farm", from the Main Road. The works were carried out between 2022 - 2023 (according to Aerial views), and as a result the Main Road was widened in front of the new entrance and up to the new kerbing and I&E Highways have agreed to incorporate the Land into the Main Road.
The proposal is for the transfer to the Public of a strip of land (the "Land" shown in yellow on the plan at Schedule 1) forming part of the South-East extremity of the field known as "Le Clos de l'Est de St. Jean" and bearing the field number J310 ("Field J310").
