Decision' means:

• for Ministerial duty-bearers, policy under development
The proposition, if adopted, would establish the Care Experienced Fund, which aims to provide Islanders over the age of 25 and who were formerly in the care of the Minister (as defined in the Children (Jersey) Law 2002) with support in the following
areas:
• access to lifelong learning opportunities
• access to mental health and wellbeing support
• emergency assistance for unforeseen expenditure, including but not limited to medical, dental or ophthalmic costs, emergency travel, costs associated with housing and unexpected bill payments.
The Fund will only be accessible to those over the age of 25, the age at which the Government's existing Care Leavers' offer ends.

Groups of children could include early years, primary or secondary education; young adults; children with additional learning needs; disabled children; children living in poverty; children from particular ethnic backgrounds; migrants; refugees; care experienced children and LGBTQ+ children
Although the Fund addresses the government's wider corporate parenting responsibility, it is intended to benefit adults aged 25 and above, so impacts on children are unlikely. There could occasionally be an element of indirect benefit to a child of (or a child who lived in the same household as) someone who successfully applied to the Fund for assistance
