WQ.176/2026

WRITTEN QUESTION TO THE MINISTER FOR TREASURY AND RESOURCES

BY DEPUTY M.B. ANDREWS OF ST. HELIER NORTH

QUESTION SUBMITTED ON MONDAY 28TH SEPTEMBER 2026 ANSWER TO BE TABLED ON MONDAY 5th OCTOBER 2026

Question

"Will the Minister advise what consideration, if any, has been given to reviewing the zero-ten corporate tax regime?"

Answer

The Time to Win Competitiveness Report stressed the importance of a simple and stable tax regime, with competitive tax rates and tax neutrality at its core. This is central to Jersey's ability to position itself as a leading financial centre.

In light of this clear strategic direction on competitiveness and also the implementation of the OECD Pillar Two regime for large multinational enterprises, no consideration is being given to changing the Zero/Ten tax regime.
