Senator Sam Mezec
Minister for Children and Housing BY EMAIL
24th July 2020 Dear Minister
Residential Tenancy Deposit Scheme – MyDeposits contract renewal
I am writing further to the recent announcement that the contract with MyDeposits Jersey has been renewed for a minimum of 3 years and up to a maximum of 5 years, depending on good performance.
You may recall from the States sitting which took place on 2nd July 2019 (an excerpt is attached to this letter for ease of reference), the question was raised as to whether local companies would be invited to tender for the contract. As a Panel, we are interested to learn whether tenders were received from any local companies, as well as more about the procurement process which led to the reappointment of MyDeposits. As such we would like to request, in confidence, the tender documentation including, but not limited to, the names of the companies (local and/or overseas) and the details and amounts of each procurement bid.
I would be grateful if you could forward a response, in writing, by Monday 3rd August 2020. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
Yours sincerely,

Connétable M. K. Jackson
Chairman
