Deputy Kevin Lewis Minister for Infrastructure BY EMAIL

24th July 2020 Dear Minister

Banning the sale of single-use carrier bags [P.64/2020] I am writing further to the adoption of the above proposition on 16th June 2020.

As you are aware the adoption of P.64/2020 charges the Council of Ministers to bring forward legislation by February 2021 to give effect to the proposition. The Panel is therefore interested to learn what your next steps will be, working in conjunction with the Council of Ministers between now and 1st February 2021.

I would be grateful if you could forward a response, in writing, by Monday 3rd August 2020. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.

Yours sincerely,

Connétable M. K. Jackson

Chairman
