Pension Regulations

I write to you in response to your letter dated 26th January forwarding the results of the consultation process following the Panel's request for this information.

Following receipt of this letter, the Panel has been provided with a briefing from officers within your department and following further consideration, the Panel is content with the work that has been undertaken thus far and has agreed that no further work will be required at this stage. The Panel notes the changes to these regulations will be via a 3 Phased process with this being Phase 1. It is therefore likely we will make reference to this proposition and the phased approach in our legacy report on leaving this term of office.

The Panel would also like to thank the Minister for agreeing to defer the debate on this proposition to allow us time to undertake this additional work.
