22nd November 2022

Dear Deputy Binet ,

R.154/2022 – A Review of The Our Hospital Project – Scrutiny Review Timescale of presentation to the States Assembly

Following the Future Hospital Review Panel's launch of its review on the report R.154/2022 which you have presented to the States, the Panel would be grateful for answers to the following questions:

  1. What advice has Government received about the next steps in its timeline and its intention to amend the funding for the Our Hospital Project prior to any decision being made by this Assembly to rescind P80/2021 and/or to approve any new and evidenced alternative put forward by the Government?
  2. When is it your intention to provide detailed evidence of the cost savings suggested in R.154/2022 to the States Assembly and in what format?

You will be aware that the Panel is working in a constrained timeframe in relation to its review and this will be further exacerbated by the Government seeking to amend the Government Plan in any way to reflect the changes it is seeking to make to the Our Hospital Project. That being the case, the Panel would be grateful if you could respond quickly – and if possible by close of business on Thursday 24th November.

Yours sincerely

Deputy Sam Mézec

Chair

Future Hospital Review Panel
