Dear Deputy Renouf ,

About a week ago I emailed Senator Andy Green regarding the organ donation proposal. It has been confirmed to me that he received it but he never acknowledged it. I am a little disappointed about it but I understand he has been very busy.

The main body of the email refers to my concerns regarding thousands of non-English speaking Jersey residents who, when asked, have told me they have no idea about the organ donation proposal due mainly to a language barrier, they don't read the JEP or listen to the radio and are unaware of what is going on.

Senator Green keeps saying that a recent survey online indicated a majority in favour of donating. In my view, this is misleading because thousands of people don't go online and obviously have not voted. I personally will have to be strongly persuaded because I take the view that my body is my body and nothing should be removed unless I say so which is the opposite to what the Senator is proposing.

Thank you for reading this email. Sergio da Silva
