I've watched this debacle unfold with utter dismay. Yet again the SoJ have proven that they are unable to deliver what the people of Jersey want. A hospital which appears nothing more than a vanity project which will saddle future generations with unbelievable debt.
As an organisation it calls into question their competence that it has been such a mess from the start to the point we find ourselves now and there is still no coherent plan or transparency. But what's new there. I used to work for the SoJ and witnessed breath-taking waste by civil servants who have zero regard for the taxpayer and generally exhibit levels of incompetence that would result in dismissal in the private sector.
We want a hospital that is there when you need it. Not fancy roads and atriums.
