We would like to express our strong opposition to a plan which would double the cost of a new hospital compared to the original scheme to build at Gloucester Street.
In addition, it would mean the destruction of Westmount, a dozen private homes, Samarès Ward , agricultural fields and an historic Bowling Club - this costly devastation could still be avoided if the States had the guts to change tack instead of steamrollering blindly on.
