This happens regularly and all they do is send you a letter and take away £3 a day until it is cleared. Really annoying and sometimes you wonder why they cannot write certain amounts off?
I was paid too much because they had made a clerical error with my Long Term Incapacity Benefit. Nothing I could do about. They just told me that they had made an error. I had to pay this money back over 8 months and that's that. Not even an apology or an inquiry as to whether I could afford to pay it back.
