PAGE 169, ARTICLE 50 and PAGE 181, ARTICLE 78: Restriction on giving information at doctor's general practice
The Minister for Health and Social Services accepts Amendment 6 as proposed by the Assisted Dying Review Panel noting that the new Article 78(4), as inserted, provides that a person must not provide information, in writing, to another person about the assisted dying service - or their role in the assisted dying service – when they at a GP's surgery unless the recipient of the information is with a health professional (ie. a GP, a surgery nurse etc).
The Minister will ensure that supporting information related to this amendment is included in the relevant guidance, assuming the amendment is adopted by the Assembly.
