Welcome to H.E. the Lieutenant Governor

The Bailiff introduced Air Chief Marshal Sir John Cheshire, K.B.E, C.B., the newly appointed Lieutenant Governor of Jersey to the Assembly. Senator Pierre François Horsfall then welcomed His Excellency and Lady Cheshire on behalf of all the members of the States, whereupon Sir John Cheshire replied, indicating his intention of taking an active interest in the life of the Island.

THE STATES then adjourned.
