I feel that for traditional/charity events, the costs of policing should be covered by income taxes gained.
Howevr re Jersey Live and such like events I am unsure. On the one hand I feel the organisers should cover this cost, howevever they will then no doubt pass it down to the public. On the other hand, it seems that an event such as Jersey Live attracts visitors from off the island which much also benefit the island.
