I am sure that the Jersey live organisers have drummed up a lot of biased support, regarding the hiring of police, with their appalling use of their privileged list of ticket purchasers' email addresses. It would be completely unjustified to use tax payers money to police the bill for Jersey Live. Although I don't agree that the Battle of Flowers policing should be funded by the States I imagine that it costs much less than Jersey Live and can be handled by a much higher ratio of Honorary Police. This issue will surely need reconsidering but is a poor argument for the case of States funding for Jersey Live policing.

Yours

Matt Michel
