 Dear Sirs

In looking at the summary of changes proposed under the new Legal Aid law, I see that in future a person found not guilty is likely to be landed with huge legal fees to pay because the scheme will only pay back the costs that would have been paid under legal aid. In other words nothing unless one's assets and income are minimal. That is grossly unfair, as you could be bankrupted by costs incurred through no fault of your own, for a crime that you had nothing to do with. Surely that needs to be changed!
