The Panel's Amendment [P.70/2025] to the Proposed Budget (Government Plan) 2026-2029 seeks to create a new head of expenditure for the Jersey Public Services Ombudsperson. The Amendment also seeks to ring-fence funds in the Budget for the purpose of establishing an Ombudsperson. Finally, the Amendment aims to ensure that previous decisions taken by the States Assembly, to establish an Ombudsperson and to bring forward detailed proposals for the establishment of an ombudsperson in 2025, are reflected in this Budget. |
